Sometimes my job can be a bit frustrating when listening to what people expect from us.
For example like tonight.
I had orgagnized a repatriation of an Italian woman from Papeete in French Polinesia to Bologna Italy.
She has nothing really serious at all, just a broken ankle in an open valve cast, but wanted to repatriate right away because that injury had ruined her vacation.
Her insurance policy with us calls for immediate repatriation in case of injury.
She griped and complained that I could not find for her a direct flight Papeete/Paris and then on to Bologna.
What I managed to get was a Papeete/Los Angeles/Paris and from there on to Bologna.
Can you imagine complaining because she has a stop-over in Los Angeles?
I too would have wanted her to get her on a direct flight to Paris because that would have avoided me the trouble of organizing for her a wheelchair and accompaniment service in Los Angeles airport and the extra cost for this and the overnight hotel stay there.
( besides the accompaniments in Papeete, Paris and Bologna )
As a footnote her business class plane ticket costs us 6400 Euro
= 8300 Dollars.
Can you imagine little Daniel FLY complaining and griping about flying business class and staying overnight in Los Angeles ?
