Family is so so important. Sometimes we get wrapped up in life and aren't able to spend quality time with them. The important thing is that you are able to enjoy the time you ARE able to spend with them. It puts everything else into perspective, and makes us realize what's important- and how unimportant so many other things are.
Bai Ling, yes I know Mah Jong, lol!
Are you familiar with the Korean game Chang-gi/Janggi? It is very similar to the Chinese game Shang Chi. (Shang-Chi also happens to be a Chinese martial arts superhero by Marvel comics, the same people who made Spiderman. Maybe when you return you could go to New York and talk with Stan Lee (Lieberman) about making his next movie about Shang-Chi "Master of Kung Fu" with you in it as a heroine or Chinese super villain. He's located at
Marvel Entertainment, LLC

New York, NY 10016
Might be worth a shot!
Yes, I can read your post. Nice pictures of the má jiàng tiles! I hope they're not ivory :)
My grandmother used to play with her friends. She kept the tiles in a fancy wooden box that also had chips and dice in it. I never learned to play, but it looks fun.
Ah ah ah, hi hi hi, he he he
You make me laugh BAI LING because you Twitted:
"... starbuckscoffee sunny, we have everything here in Chengdu..."
Having Starbucks IS REALLY having everything, right ?
Well yes, for a girl like you who loves Starbucks so much...
I'm kidding you - yes it must be a plasant shock for you to see how much China has evolved acquiring a new and modern way of life.
Here in Italy we don't have everything.
We don't have Kentucky Friend Chicken --- darn it, that is missing.
We are missing that lighthouse of higher civilisation ( KFC ) and I wonder why. The must be some law and/or interest group aimed at keeping them out of this country.
I miss KFC so much.
Now please don't tell me they have Kentucky Fried Chicken KFC over there in Chengdu too ?
