Anyone can guess what role I am playing this time? You will be so surprised when you find out, but take a guess......
I cannot believe how beautiful and bright the sunlight is right now all over me all over every corner in Winnipeg...... it just puts me in such a crazy happy mood, my heart is dancing running in the shinny snow feeling so naked......
This is my journey, from the sunny beach California, from the red glamorous, the magic sun, the palm trees waving our heart's desire, the lights painting their burning passion on the sky, then suddenly I am there in where the painting is so up high in the sky next to the sun to the moon to the clouds to the mountains, the hush lights again painting my face from the tight air in the space out of my window on the plane: " I would like to coming in to kiss you all over! Open the door!!!"
" Yes I would like that if I could my child!" The hat says......
Finally I awake the moon in the dark city, the dark night, cars driving crazy in silence.....yes I found the lovely snow sleeping on the city road everywhere snoring......
But the reality of life, my face cannot move in the cold in the wind........ice...... am I in Tibet???
Did you see an eye on my picture in the blue sky? So amazing.....how did we click at the same time???
Gift in life as we walk our walk dream our dream dance our dance smile the laughter that we left on the road running behind.....
Yes I found another gift for myself right now in the beautiful white snow by surprise...
As my grandmother once told me: my little princess, there are many gifts in the world for you to find, they are everywhere hidden, you will just have to walk and trust with your open heart and delight even when its dark, even when the snow covered its road, but patience, yes, you might just suddenly see a smile landing in the white snow in front of you, slowly opening a red rose......
Laughter lift up to the air with all the joy chasing after a dancing floor moving and following my grandmother's gentle steps like a beautiful dream awake .......
I am so happy in the white snow having you to share with......
This is the moment I aware: life is breathing with me with my melody and your warm heart and our slow dance.......
A song......in the snow......
Have a beautiful weekend......

Why go where its cold Brrrrrrr!
So then BAI LING thank you for letting us know you have reached your destination in Canada and that it is Winnipeg.
Your photo showing the check in counter shows -20C° .... too cold for a little FLY like me.
I bet you won't see any of my cousin flies over there.
I like that photo taken from the airplane showing that huge grain silo complex below, the area over there is known for being a rich farmland .... in Summer.
You were not far off the mark when you mentioned -38C°
Winnipeg weather forecasts for tonight Saturday expect a low of
-25C°, with a wind chill effect of
-34C°.
( maybe that -38C° you mentioned was outside that airplane before landing? )
I bet you are going to feel as if you were back in freezing cold Tibet.

The geographical center of North America.
Winnipeg is not far away from Rugby North Dakota which is the commonly accepted site of where the geographical center of North America stands.
You will never get closer to being "in the center of it all" than now.
BAI LING, how does it feel to be in the smack middle of an entire continent ?
You are the center of it all....lol
Bai be safe and when you get back lets talk toys!
FOR YOU BEAUTIFUL!!! IN THE COLD COLD SNOW' HOPE IT WARMS YOUR HEART...
YOUR GRANDMOTHER IS A SMART LADY!!!!
BAI LING you just now Twitted:
"realbailing Fighting in half hour, should be fun, girls fight today in the snow???..... http://officialbailing.com
39 minutes ago from web"
Leave that to the overgrown sturdy lumberjack gals of central Canada.
I heard about those contests where girls fight in a ring filled with mud.... but out in the snow?
You are far too petite to compete with them.... and far too elegant for that kind of stuff too.
How did you know to open this door.. to so many gift?
Thank you for reflecting part of the path that lead up to it.
Smiles

What is that there under the Winnipeg airport sign?
Do I see a banner?
And what does it say?
..." welcomes Bai Ling "
= Winnipeg welcomes Bai Ling (!)
( how nice of them... nice folk over there )

Eye in the sky.
Ok BAI LING, I finally got it.
All day I was wondering what you meant when you wrote here:
"Did you see an eye on my picture in the blue sky? So amazing.....how did we click at the same time???"
I am an intellectually challenged little FLY... took me some time to catch on to that one.
Wow!
Noticing how cold it is there...
I imagine your body's responses...
a bit nipply...under that parka!:-)
Enjoy your play in the snow.
Ah the Cutest of all eskimos.
Wish I was there for the post fight warm up. I am a circulation specialist.
Maybe you won't need such, I know how you love your girl fighting.
You'll be great

"realbailing Now its -30C cause of the wind wow my nose is running and hands face are freazing.... Brutle wow http:officialbailing.com
about 1 hour ago from web "
A running nose?
Where did your nose run off to BAI LING ?
Hurry, go catch it before it escapes for good!...lol
IN CHINA ' REALLY?? WAS IT BAD ??
What role? Hmmmm, let me guess... an ice princess on some frozen world in a sci-fi movie? Or the daughter of Emperor Ming the Merciless in a remake of Flash Gordon?? Or if this is a new version of Flash Gordon, do you play Emperess Ming?
I really wonder what kind of scene requirements in your movie brings
you out all the way to Winnipeg central Canada.
It would be interesting if you could tell us a little bit on how you prepare yourself mentally and emotionally to enter in the spirit of your movie character before shooting a particular scene.
How do you go about to empathize yourself with your movie character before entering a scene.
I myself I've had only one experience with theatre and acting, and it was enough to scare me away from that world for good.
It was in senior year of high school.
We set up a theatre play for charity and it was Samuel Beckett's play titled:
" Waiting for Godot "
My role was that of Lucky who has a never ending monologue speach that sounds demential, but it is not at all that demential when you listen carefully to the flow of words.
The entire monologue begins with a nearly whisper soft tone and ends with you shouting.
It took me months to memorize it!!.
Being theatre on stage you had to memorize it well because of course there in no "cut" in live theatre on stage.
That was a real challenge for me, and after that chore I stayed away from anything having to do with acting ever since then.
I got scared away - lol.
I'll go look it up, and see if I can find that play to show you BAI LING .....
There's an old saying, "it's not cold until you can hear your spit when it hits the sidewalk."
Oh you are so sexy Bai (IMG09868.jpg rocks my world); a Bob Dylan hat and you've got that pursed lip thing going on.
Stay warm - no doubt they have indoor plumbing and heat in Canada. To bad they don't have unions for the folks that have to work there. Oh, well - I guess that's why some U.S. producers like shooting films in Canada.
Here BAI LING, I've found a link which has the entire play, the entire script.
http://samuel-beckett.net/Waiting_for_Godot_Part1.html
Anyone cares to give a look at it ?
I just discovered you can post a maximum of 4,096 written characters here.
It just barely fitted
-------------------------------
Anyone cares to try memorizing THAT?
And yes, the play was in English and not even in Italian because it was for charity organisation shows.
.... talk about an intellectually challenged little FLY here... lol
On Twitter you ask us to guess the role you are playing now?
I figure you are filming some scenes for CROSS out there in Winnipeg and your role is....
( what's that bright yellow glow behind little Daniel FLY you see here ? - why yes, it is ... )
-> SUNSHINE
You brought warm and bright sunshine to the cold plains around Winnipeg.

Lets see if my "Lucky" role script fits in this time, with the 4,096 maximum you can write at a time.
Or maybe BAI LING, you thought it was too long to be worth posting here?
Maybe...
BAI LING on Twitter mentioning having missed the Grammy Awards and all the parties that follow that social event.
She instead being out in the freezing cold open praries around Winnipeg Canada.
Don't let that bother you too much.
Those over there in Los Angeles were just celebrating movies.
You instead you are MAKING movies.
And us here, all of us, we are sure you will have occasions to make up for those parties you missed...
Geoge Clooney has a Tv commecial for Martini wine/drink running over and over here on Italian Tv saying:
" No Martini, no party "
Those out there in Los Angeles might be saying:
" No Bai Ling, no party "
you look tired my sweety, seems you need a cup of sleep...
am i right?
Thank you BAI LING for posting Beckett's play script for Lucky I had memorized.
Even now, reading it again, it gives me shivers running down my back at the thought of it...
------------------------------
On Twitter you ask us to guess where you are, what you are wearing and what you are doing..
We had better wait and let you tell us that.
We just have to be patient.
And you say you love film making because you always get to be different.
True, and you must be very good at impersonating so many different movie roles otherwise you would not be given so many parts in so many movies.
ok - errata corrige
BAI LING i mistakenly thought you were filming "Cross" out there in Winnipeg...I was wrong.
You are out there shooting:
LOCKED DOWN
===========
Locked Down stars British actor Vinnie Jones (X-Men: The Last Stand), Tony Schiena, Dwier Brown, Sarah Ann Schultz and Bai Ling. It's about a cop who is framed by an infamous gang leader and goes to jail. Behind bars, the gang leader forces the cop to become an MMA fighter.
The feature-length film is being made for Grindstone Entertainment Group.
I had to read Winnipeg newspapers online to discover that.
Me in Milano Italy reading Canadian Winnipeg newspapers to keep up with the news? Of all things...LOL funny funny.
I found that they were looking for paid background performers for a prison movie to be shot in Winnipeg and Selkirk starting Jan. 22.
The extras casting director was especially looking for Mixed Martial Art (MMA) types, fighters and boxers, and "tough/rough-looking, interesting characters with tattoos or scars."
( maybe I should try to convince the casting director that a FLY/me is needed for the prison's dirty toilet scene ..? )
Hi Bai,looks like you are having fun in the snow.As you said the snow is beautiful,it changes everything when we look at outside.I like when the trees and plants are covered in snow, they look so nice.
You posted some loveley photos of yourself and captured some great landscapes.
P.S love the new photo on your website.
Just in case bloggers here would want to read more about film location set in Selkirk check here for local news article:
http://www.selkirkjournal.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=2281732
They also report some comments of movie director Daniel Zirilli.
( Hey Zirilli, copriti bene il culo che fa freddo lassù !)
I WAS GOING TO SHOW YOU A FROSTBITE PIC' AND TELL U TO BE CAREFUL.....
BUT AFTER CLOSER REVIEW'and being totally grosed out from the pic's'i'll just say be careful in the snow queeny!!!!
They expect temperatures will be on the "rise" in Winnipeg.
Monday -18C°/-20C° sunny
Tuesday -14C°/-21C° sunny
Wednesday -12C°/-21C° part. clouwdy
Thursday -8C° /-16C° part. clouwdy
( that without considering wind chill effect )
Right now it is -25C°, with wind chill that makes it -33C°
Always make sure to keep your head well covered with a warm protective hat.
You can lose up to 40% of your body's heat if your head is not well covered. And make sure you always stay dry. Use multiple layers of cloathing for better body insulation.
And... do like the locals do.
They know best how to face these extreme weather conditions.
Thank you for sharing Bai-Ling.
HAO LENG!!!!!
