Unlike others, I will not revel in the demise of some that used to post comments here and may now be posting elsewhere. Many of those that have gone on to post elsewhere are no less than brilliant and much more witty than myself. BUT, those departed, at least for now, lost sight of the social nature of discourse and chose for themselves a rather course discursive style more akin to a men only tavern than a comment section on a successful actresses blog/website.
Some of the comments that have been made here in the past, especially those about my wife hurt me personally - not a big deal - because she loves me and I love her. Read back if you need context for my comments, and good luck to us all in 2010.

BAI LING often says that she comes from the Moon.
I saw a very interesting documentary illustrating the origin of the Moon.
It stated that the Moon originated from the remnants of Earth debris which gathered after the collision of the Earth with another smaller planet called Theia, about size of Mars.
This collision ( 4,4 billion years ago ) caused the Earth to shift its rotation axis while the debris of this collision formed the Moon.
Furthermore, the Moon used to be much closer to earth than it is today, about 15,000 miles away compared to roughly 240,000 miles today. This some 3 billion years ago.
Back then the Earth was rotating much faster and Earth days were only 6 hours long.
It was the Moon's gravitational pull on the Earth and later on affecting the oceans and pulling ocean tides which slowed down the Earth's rotation more and more 'till today's 24 hour per day due to tidal friction.
This has been calculated by fossil shells which lived 400 million years ago, and which show by their daily shell growth, that 400 million years ago each Earth's year had 410 days and not 365 like now.
The primordial gigantic monster tides cased by the Moon being so close allowed the oceans to wash away from land enormous quantities of debris and minerals needed to make the ocean's "primordial soup" where the first forms of bacterial life began.
In the meantime the Moon was moving further out away from earth allowing a more hospitable enviroment which allowed the first bacterial life to appear in a calmer world, 3 billion years ago.
And the Moon is still moving further away from earth even today, at the rate of 1,5 inch per year ( as measured by laser beams shot at the Moon ).
So?
