I enjoy the quietness the sereal view away from the crowded city and people, palm trees are outside, who knows how many years they have been standing there, same place, right now they just standing there 5 of them, not far to each other, they don't mind anybody's business just standing there actually nodding and taking a hot deep nap naked in front of the whole world........
Last night I went to Kate Winslet award tribut, she sits just behind my sit before she went on to stage, I like her energe, she is a down to earth person and love and give everything to what she loves to do, everything, it was nice to hear her and feel her spirits........

If you get to see fireworks exploding in the air, then imagine that one of them could be the Clown-Fly up high in the sky bursting apart for you.
(....the biggest one of course, because that was Fly's huge ego going BOOM for you ).

I don't wear black leather pants.
What you see here in my photo is me dressed up in my black Ninja-Fly outfit. It is my usual Bai Ling airborne stealth Ninja-Fly bodyguard uniform. I'm a lot more stealth than any B-2 or F-117 airplane, no radar has ever picked up a Fly on their screens.
It is so that I can keep a good close guard on Bai Ling and chase away mean paparazzi who would want to trash her. Those who would like to photograph her while she is caught hiding under her long evening gala dress another photographer for example.

There was an interesting interview with Chinese author Xiaolu Guo on the BBC last night. Xiaolu's most recent book is UFO IN HER EYES. The BBC "Strand" inteveriew can be listened to here. I just came back from a short one day trip to the Alps with a friend who is learning how ride a snowboard. It appears he is starting to be fairly good at it.
I just went along for the day outing to get away from the city.
Some outing, wake up at 04:00Am to get there as early as possible and and back home at 18:00PM because the sun goes down early.
No, the mountains are not for me although I have learned how to ski. Too cold, damp, wet, dark.
Time ago I even dislocated my shoulder falling while on a ski slope. That was the final touch that put an end to my never great passion for the mountains.
It was not the excruciating pain in my shoulder that disgusted me, but it was the embarrassment of being brought down with a stretcher and then a snowcat tractor to the infirmery while everyone was watching me.

I am an ocean/sea-Fly.
Just put me in the water and I can float for hours on.
While at the sea I'm hardly ever on the beach but always in the water, be it sun overcast or rain. I don't care if the sea water is warm or cold, I'm in it.
Some years ago I even went for a swim in the English Channel the Day of Christmas. Ask IAN how cold it can get there.
But of course the ocean must be treated with lots of respect and prudence because it is like Bai Ling: beautiful and dangerous.

ED The national.. well the most "popular" dish (apparently) is a Curry! Which probably helps to explain why we don't need any more outside influence over here thank you.
A Roast Beef Dinner on Sunday is also a national thing (I prefer chicken) hence the Frenchies call us "Roast beefs". Personally I love Chinese food or anything Hot and Spicy.
Fish & Chips are however quite groovy as I live right by the Beach and a fishing port is not far down the road I can just walk down the road and buy it straight from the Fisherman..yummy!

Yes IAN, nothing like walking down to the port and buy fresh fish right from the fishing boats coming in to moor in the evening after they have been out catching fish. You are lucky to live in such a place.
When I go on vacation in France like last Summer, I often go to a place called Le Tréport in Normandy where I get to see those fishing boats come in and I too get to buy from them a choice of fresh fish. That fishing port, and tourist resort in Summer, is just across the English Channel from where you live. You probably never heard of it because it is still relatively off the track of foreing tourism. Unlike Caen which is becoming sort of another UK city...never saw so many British Yachts as in Caen.

Maybe I get lucky in this regard. I may be able to be "DD" for someone to a Beverly Hills football party on Sunday. "DD" here means designated driver. I don't drink so I can drive for the party.
If I get lucky, it wuill be same party Bai goes too. After all, just how many mansions are there in Beverly Hills? Not very many. If you buy a lottery ticket you have one chance in 50 to win a prize. But to get a better prize that is worth more than $5 then you have not so good odds.
